Apple iPhone 15 Pro has a useful safety feature named – Crash detection. It is similar to what we have in Android devices. The respective function can detect severe car crashes and automatically calls emergency services on your behalf.
This happens with multiple sensors in your phone that determine your vehicle and its position. Eventually, the motion sensor with a dynamic gyroscope and accelerometer, GPS, barometer, microphone, and advanced motion algorithms work together in your iPhone or Apple Watch to accurately detect a crash.
How to turn on the Crash Detection feature in Apple iPhone 15 Pro?
- Go to the Settings app
- Scroll down and select Emergency SOS
- Tap Crash Detection
- Turn on the toggle of Call After Severe Crash
- Set emergency contacts and details
From here, follow the on-screen instructions. Once done, you can return to the home screen.
