WhatsApp is working on a secret code feature for locked chats that will boost the privacy aspects of the application. The latest addition is currently available to a handful of beta testers but will soon show up on the stable channels.
As the name reflects, the respective capability will enable users to configure a unique code which will contribute to enhancing the privacy of the application. When you will set a custom password for your protected chats, the code will isolate the privacy of these conversations.
How to access the WhatsApp Secret Code feature?
- Open WhatsApp and click on the three-dot menu
- Go to the Settings section
- Select the Privacy tab > Chat Lock Settings
Note that you may also find this feature on the protected chats info page. At this moment, the functionality is in development. Hence, there could be changes in the steps mentioned above.
