Vivo launched a significant BlueOS operating system at the 2023 Developer Conference, which differs from the Funtouch OS in several aspects. Notably, the latest product is a forward-looking, self-developed OS designed to support a diverse range of devices.

Even those handy gadgets with minimal configurations like a 200MHz CPU and 32MP of RAM or maximum configurations of 4Ghz CPU and 24GB RAM can work effectively with BlueOS. Further, the new OS is capable for the era of generative AI and boasts three major capabilities:

  • Inherently smarter
  • Inherently smoother
  • Inherently safer

It also covers voice, picture, text, video, gesture, sign language, and even brainwave recognition. BlueOS leaps forward in application development, allowing for automatic code generation and the creation of personalized desktops, wallpapers, and themes.

How BlueOS differs from Vivo Funtouch OS?

Unlike Funtouch OS and OriginOS, BlueOS does not support Android apps. Though it offers access to Alipay, Baidu Maps, as well as Himalaya, and is compatible with the hapjs fast application standards. Moreover, the latest development is far more efficient, smoother, and faster than the other two operating systems.

On the other hand, it may not be installed on vivo phones in the early stage, which means that Funtouch OS/OriginOS will continue to proceed.
