Google Photos now has a new AI-powered feature called Highlight Videos that lets you create a short movie of your favorite moments. The feature came in the place of ‘Movie’ elements and offers a Create video tool, simplifying the search for people, places, and activities that you want to include in the clip.
Note that the feature has recently started rolling out and is available to a small number of users excluding tablets and foldable owners. Although we can expect a wider rollout of the capability in the upcoming days.
How to create Highlight videos in Google Photos?
- Open Google Photos on your Android phone
- Tap on the Library option
- Click on Utilities
- Under the ‘Create new’ section, click on Highlight Video
- Choose the subject of your highlight video: Search or Suggested
- Tap Next > Save
Tip: If you don’t see the people or timeframe you would like in the suggestions, tap Add person or Date range.
