Samsung is rolling out the May 2023 Android security update for the Galaxy S23 devices in India. However, the rollout was begun for the models yesterday and so far, the update has reached several countries. Simultaneously, the company will not let remaining market users wait for too long.
As per the information of SammyFans, the users of Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra are collecting the May 2023 update in India with One UI build version 911BXXS1AWD1, S916BXXS1AWD1 & S918BXXS1AWD1 respectively. Also, the firmware carries a 344.57MB package size.

Moving toward the offerings, the changelog of the latest firmware didn’t mention any new elements or major optimizations for your Galaxy S23 devices. But it will surely provide increased security for the system, and ensure that confidential data and sensitive information remain safe and secure.
Moving on, the patch also offers improved protection against harmful threats, viruses, and other safety-related exposures. Furthermore, the patch will also resolve some common bugs and glitches that may have been discovered in the system, reducing the risk of system crashes and data loss.
However, the security patch bulletin of May 2023 also mentions fixes for over 58 vulnerabilities including 4 critical, 48 high, and 3 moderate levels of CVEs from Google and 21 SVEs from Samsung software. Therefore, we suggest upgrading the device to the latest version as soon as the update reaches your unit.
