The white paper “6G Services, Capabilities, and Enabling Technologies” released by Vivo shows that Vivo has developed new technologies in mobile computing and network integration, communication perception integration, intelligent endogenous systems, data planes, extremely low-power communication, MIMO evolution, RIS technology, new Eight enabling technologies such as waveforms have been developed.
Vivo believes that the three basic services of 6G super communication, basic information, and fusion computing will derive from a variety of service use cases, such as immersive XR, holographic presentation, autonomous driving, wireless perception, and the metaverse. In addition, compared with 5G, the diversity of 6G services and the scalability of 6G systems are very prominent.
It is worth mentioning that Vivo opened the mobile communication laboratory for the first time. Jiang Djie, director of the communication pre-research group of Vivo communication research institute, demonstrated respiratory monitoring integrated with communication perception, target ranging and speed measurement integrated with communication perception, backscatter-based Prototypes of four technologies of extremely low power communication, and AI communication.
Among them, the integration of communication and perception is an important enabling technology for the 6G system to provide basic information services. The two prototypes of integrated communication and perception displayed by Vivo may be applied to smart transportation, drone monitoring, smart home, and health care in the future. Scenes.
In addition, the extremely low-power communication prototype can be used in logistics tracking, cargo inventory, smart home, sensor network, environmental monitoring, and other scenarios. AI communication prototypes increase system flexibility and reduce O&M costs.
Moreover, Vivo established a 6G research team in 2019, but Qin Fei said that the research and development of 6G key technologies are still in the early stage, and Vivo will continue to work on 6G technology and contribute to the formulation of 6G technical standards.
