QNAP releases its first 16-port 25GbE switch

QNAP has now launched its first 25GbE optical fiber managed to switch QSW-M5216-1T, with 16 25GbE SFP28 optical ports and 1 10GBASE-T port, supporting the second layer (L2 ) network management function, providing graphical interface management.

According to the official statement, QSW-M5216-1T has built-in 16 25GbE SFP28 fiber ports and 1 10GBASE-T port, providing a backbone network of up to 820Gbps ultra-high backplane bandwidth, which can be used as a core switch to upload to the 25GbE / 100GbE server in the computer room, NAS, or cascaded 25GbE / 100GbE switches, etc.; and flexible connection of various devices to the same switch.

Moreover, it supports backward compatibility and NBASE-T technology: 25GbE SFP28 is backward compatible with 10GbE SFP+/1GbE SFP; 10GBASE -T RJ45 supports 10G / 5G / 2.5G / 1G / 100M.
