Oppo launches Reno5 4G: Equipped with Snapdragon 720G, and supports 50W fast charge

Earlier this month, OPPO released Reno5 and Reno5 Pro, both of which support 5G networks. Now, the company quietly launched the 4G version of Reno5.

OPPO Reno5 4G uses the Snapdragon 720G chipset that was also used in the Reno4 4G a few months ago.

The new machine brings a number of improvements on the basis of Reno4 4G, making it more consistent with other Reno5 models.

OPPO Reno5 4G upgraded the 6.4-inch AMOLED panel to a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate, and the resolution is still 1080p+.

The screen provides full coverage of sRGB in Light mode, while Vivid mode exceeds 100% on sRGB, covering 93% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and supports Dolby Atmos audio.

Another upgrade is the main camera, OPPO Reno5 4G is equipped with a 64MP sensor, f/1.7 aperture. The selfie camera has also been upgraded and now has a 44MP sensor.

The remaining three modules are the same: an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (119°) and two 2-megapixel modules.

Reno5 4G provides super night scene mode and Live HDR, which can be used for photos and videos.

Additionally, there are many interesting video modes, from split-screen browsing to double leaked.

The OPPO Reno5 4G 4,300 mAh battery is slightly larger than the Reno4 (4,015 mAh), and the charging speed is also faster: from 30W to 50W.

Interestingly, the machine is equipped with a 65W charger of the same level as the 5G model.

Although the power cannot reach 65W, it still takes only 48 minutes to fully charge. Additionally, the machine also supports a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

OPPO Reno5 4G comes pre-installed with ColorOS 11 (based on Android 11), has 8GB of LPDDR4x memory, and 128GB of storage space.

The card slot can hold two SIM cards, plus a microSD to expand storage space. Other connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.1 and aptX HD and LDAC but lack NFC.

OPPO Reno5 4G will be launched in Vietnam first. The price is set at 8.69 million VND, equivalent to RMB 2,460, and will be shipped on January 9. If you order now, you can get a Bluetooth wireless speaker.
