Samsung is rolling out its new One UI 8 Watch beta, bringing fresh features and improvements to Galaxy smartwatches. This update is based on Android 16 and is designed to make your smartwatch smarter, easier to use, and more helpful in daily life.
Where is the beta available?
The One UI 8 Watch beta is first launching in a few countries. If you live in the United States, the United Kingdom, South Korea, or Germany, you can join the beta program right away. Samsung will also add India and Poland soon, so users there will be able to try the update in the near future.
Which Galaxy Watches can join the beta?
Not all Galaxy smartwatches will get the One UI 8 Watch beta. The beta is open to these models:
- Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic
- Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro
- Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic
- Older models like the Galaxy Watch 3 and earlier are not included in the beta program.
What’s new in One UI 8 Watch?
One UI 8 Watch brings several new features and upgrades:
- Improved health and fitness tracking, including better sleep analysis and workout options
- Smarter notifications and easier ways to reply to messages
- Updated design for a cleaner, more modern look
- Enhanced battery management and performance
- New AI-powered tools to make your watch more helpful throughout the day
The stable version of One UI 8 Watch is expected to launch around July 2025, after the beta testing finishes. It will first appear on Samsung’s newest foldable phones and smartwatches, then roll out to other supported devices.
If you have a supported Galaxy smartwatch and live in one of the eligible countries, you can sign up for the beta through the Samsung Members app. This is a great chance to try new features before everyone else and help Samsung make the update even better.
