Samsung’s One UI 8 will let you see captions during phone calls

Samsung One UI 8

Samsung is also introducing a new useful feature on its One UI 8 update. It is Call Captions. This tool will allow you to view live captions of what the other party is saying when you are making calls. This feature is available in both normal voice calls and VoIP calls, which makes it convenient for people with impaired hearing or anyone who would like to follow what is being said during a call.

Call Captions utilizes the technology of their own (Samsung), to provide fast and simple speech-to-text conversion, in real-time, over the phone. This feature does not require an internet connection; it works offline on your device. The captions appear in a small window on your screen, and you can move this window to any place where it is convenient to you.

This is one of the features in the range of Samsung, making their devices more accessible and easy to use by all people. Videos and media already have the option of live captioning, and with One UI 8, phone calls will get it as well. The update will be particularly helpful to those with difficulty hearing or comprehending speech, although anybody can use it should they wish to follow conversations more closely.

One UI 8 is projected to be launched by Samsung later in the year, and Call Captions will support Galaxy devices that are eligible. This additional option indicates that Samsung is striving to ensure its phones become more assistive and supportive to everyone.
