Samsung is removing old accounts: here’s how to keep yours safe
Samsung is now deleting accounts that have not been used for a long period. If you haven’t used your Samsung account for a period, you could see it deleted in the future. The shift is made to keep the building safe and tidy.
The removal of your account will result in your being unable to access any services or data associated with that account. Things such as your cloud storage, apps and your use of Samsung Pay are protected. For this reason, you should try to maintain your account’s activity.
For security, all you must do is go through the login process. After June 2025, logging in to your account will keep it from being deleted. This tells Samsung your account is in use and not deleted.
If you need to recover your Samsung account or remember your password, go to Samsung’s website and use the options for account recovery. Doing this will give you access to your account again and make sure it stays secure.
In short, be sure to log in to your Samsung account before the end of June. Doing these three things ensures that all your important files are safe.
