Samsung’s One UI 8 beta brings new features to galaxy devices

A new software version called One UI 8, developed using Android 16, is under testing for the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and Ultra. Samsung has begun beta testing the Galaxy S25 series and will move on to test foldables, as well as additional tablets, around mid-June 2025.
This update aims to make Samsung devices work smoothly and simply for end users. With One UI 8, there are new tools to help you complete everyday jobs faster. You can now move events easily within the app to change their date or time. Using patterns from your past events helps you to choose both the name and the time for your next event.
New routines are available in the clock app, so you can personalize them for weather updates. Samsung Notes has been improved so you can arrange and access your notes in more ways. With One UI 8, the Now Bar from One UI 7 gets two new functions, making it easier to see updates and helpful suggestions more quickly.
Galaxy AI from Samsung is getting better and becoming more useful on smartphones, tablets, and other wearables. You can try the One UI 8 beta now on your Galaxy S25, S25+ or S25 Ultra in the US, UK, Germany and South Korea. The Korean company will soon release a second beta, working on bugs and introducing new features. According to researchers, the stable version of Android could have foldable devices by July or August 2025.
