Samsung getting ready to launch One UI 8 beta in Korea and the US

One UI 8

The company is gearing up for its first test version of One UI 8, whose core is Android 16. One UI 8 beta will be available soon, a message on the Samsung Members app in South Korea revealed. We also found this banner on the US version of the app, so it seems that both markets might receive the beta before others.

Samsung is expected to release the beta on their latest flagship phones, including the Galaxy S24 series, before anyone else can get it. Shortly after, the enhancement plan will include older models such as the Galaxy S23 and Z Fold 5. It’s not clear when the beta will launch, though it is likely to happen between late June and early July, following previous years. A beta version of One UI 6 was released starting in early August 2023.

Samsung will combine its custom user interface with Android 16 in One UI 8. New features that Google has already introduced for Android 16 include better control over privacy, more precise battery statistics and support for messaging via satellite. Samsung may include changes to help the Samsung user experience function faster and more efficiently.

Always keep in mind that the beta is not complete and may still be unstable. Anyone involved in the beta test can play with new features and assist Samsung in making improvements. It seems that Samsung is aiming to update One UI 8 after Android 16 is launched later in the year.
