Samsung Notes now works on all Windows laptops, not just Galaxy devices

Samsung

All Windows 10 and Windows 11 users can use Samsung’s Notes app now, regardless of having a Galaxy phone. When this change was released, Samsung Notes was only compatible with Windows Samsung PCs. Now, the app is accessible on any Windows laptop or PC.

The change is made possible because Samsung has lifted the restriction requiring the app to function only on Galaxy Book devices. Anyone using a Windows PC from another company can now install Samsung Notes from the Microsoft Store with no extra adjustments. By making things more accessible, regular users can now take advantage of features such as drawing, typing or linking their notes to their phones.

Even so, some of these features work best when the phone is using Samsung hardware. Even though you can link your phone and PC now, you may still need a Samsung account and Galaxy phone to do this. That also means you won’t have access to some exclusive features, like sending your notes directly to Samsung Gallery if you’re using a PC from another brand.

Regardless, making the switch means more people can take advantage of Samsung Notes. This is great for anyone who needs to work on their Samsung Notes from their Windows laptop after having created them using their phone.

To test it, simply look for “Samsung Notes” in the Microsoft Store on Windows.
