Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Fold 3 start final stage of monthly updates with May 2025 patch

The new May 2025 security update is now rolling out for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3. Both foldable phones are now getting their last monthly security updates, thanks to this update in November.
Both devices have been getting regular monthly updates since they were released. Now that the original software support period is ending, Samsung is shifting the two devices to an update schedule every three months. The updates will now come every three months instead of every month.
The newest May 2025 update provides better security to help avoid threats and bugs facing users. This release doesn’t add any new features, but it’s needed to keep the devices secure and steady.
People in the US and parts of Europe have already gotten their hands on this new update. You can look for it in Settings under Software Update > Download and Install if you haven’t received it yet. Updating the Galaxy Z Flip3 and Fold3 regularly has been done well by Samsung, though a quarterly update is likely because they’re older now. Although the phones are updated less often, they are still meant to receive security patches until mid-2026.
