Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 may get thinner with better battery life

Samsung is working on its next foldable phones — the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. A new report gives us early info about their size and battery improvements.
According to the leak, both the Fold 7 and Flip 7 are expected to be thinner than their older models. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 might be just 11 mm thick when closed, while the Flip 7 could measure around 14.7 mm. For comparison, the Fold 6 is said to be about 11.2 mm thick, and the Flip 6 around 15.1 mm. These changes may not seem huge, but they could make the devices feel slimmer and more comfortable to use.
In terms of battery, Samsung is aiming to make both devices last longer. The Flip 7 is rumored to have a slightly larger battery, possibly around 4,000 mAh, up from the 3,700 mAh battery in the Flip 6. That means it could offer better battery life without making the phone bulky.
Samsung may also use better hinge designs and materials to help reduce thickness while keeping durability high. These updates could make the Fold 7 and Flip 7 more appealing to people who want powerful phones that are still easy to carry.
The new foldables are expected to launch in July 2025, likely alongside Samsung’s new Galaxy AI features and One UI 7. Stay tuned for more official details in the coming months.
