Galaxy Watch 6 and 6 Classic now offer safety tools for kids in the US

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series

The Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic in the US have just received an update from Samsung that offers new tools for parents to watch over their children. With this version, you can now use parental controls and safety features to help your child use the watch better and more securely.

Now, with Samsung’s Family Hub in place, a connected Galaxy Watch 6 can be remotely managed with the Samsung Galaxy Wearable app by the child’s guardian. Parents can create restrictions, view the settings and find out where their children are. They allow parents to feel more secure and help ensure the smartwatch is safe for their children.

Apart from parental controls, Samsung introduced safety options for when users are facing an emergency. If something goes wrong with the child, the watch alerts the trusted contacts and updates them on the child’s location. Kids will find that the special activity features help them remain active throughout their day.

In the previous months, these features were introduced in South Korea, and they are now being introduced for US users as well. Make sure your Galaxy Watch 6 or 6 Classic is running the most recent One UI 6 Watch beta version to download them. Make sure to install the latest version of the Galaxy Wearable app, too.

Samsung is now making it more convenient and sensible for families to benefit from using smartwatches. In the long run, parents can monitor their kids’ screen activity, and children enjoy extra features that promote safety.
