One UI 8 leak reveals new Auracast feature with QR sharing

One UI 8

Samsung’s next update, One UI 8, is expected to give users a new look and some new functions, and now we’ve seen a screenshot that shows QR code sharing on a Galaxy phone.

Auracast is one of the new features in Android 15, and Samsung is making it look and feel simple and up to date. Based on the leaked image, the Auracast screen in One UI 8 looks neat and shows an icon for headphones, a QR code, and a button to share that QR code. This means users will be able to quickly share their audio with others by simply putting their QR code in the camera, making it much faster to connect or listen together.

Auracast allows users to share music or other audio from one device to many other devices in the area using Bluetooth LE Audio. For example, someone could put some music on their phone and play it through multiple Bluetooth headphones all at once. This can be especially useful in public places like gyms, schools, or when you play with friends at home.

Samsung is likely to roll out the first version of One UI 8 in a few months for some of their newer phones, starting with the Galaxy S24 series. Other Galaxy phones will get it at a later time.

Overall, the new Auracast feature in One UI 8 shows that Samsung is working to make it simpler and easier to share things with others without wires. This could make things a lot easier for people who usually use media on several devices.
