Samsung to launch One UI 8 with Android 16 this summer

Samsung One UI 8

Samsung is getting ready to roll out One UI 8 based on Android 16, and it’s coming sooner than expected. The new software is set to arrive this summer, most likely in August. Samsung usually releases its major software updates in the second half of the year, and it looks like 2025 will follow the same pattern.

Google recently launched the first Android 16 Beta 2 update, which includes features like Private Space, improved Bluetooth settings, and better app management. Samsung is expected to bring its version of Android 16 with One UI 8, offering custom features for Galaxy users.

The Galaxy S24 series is expected to be the first to receive the One UI 8 beta update. Just like last year, Samsung might launch the beta program in early August. Once testing is complete, the stable version will likely roll out starting in October.

Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed the exact release date for One UI 8 yet. However, based on past timelines and current test builds, the One UI 8 beta could arrive around the same time as Android 16 becomes available for Pixel devices.

As always, Samsung will likely open the beta program to users in select countries first, such as South Korea, the US, Germany, India, and the UK. More regions and devices will be added in phases. Overall, One UI 8 is expected to bring fresh design tweaks, new features, and better performance across Galaxy phones and tablets.
