Galaxy A56 5G gets May 2025 update with Gemini AI button feature

Samsung has started expanding the May 2025 security update to more Galaxy A56 5G users. After the update first launched in the US, it is now reaching more countries, including India and some Asian regions.
The new firmware version is A566EXXS1AXD7. This update improves system security and stability by fixing over 45 security issues found in previous software versions. It also helps protect against new threats and keeps the phone running smoothly.
One of the best new features in this update is support for the Gemini-powered “Side button” option. This feature lets users open Google’s Gemini AI app with a long press of the power button, similar to how Samsung users can open Bixby or the power menu. This new shortcut gives faster access to Google’s AI tools for things like writing help, information search, and smart suggestions.
To check for the update manually, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Make sure your phone has enough battery and storage space before starting the update.
Samsung is rolling out the update in phases, so it may take a few days to reach all users. But if you have a Galaxy A56 5G, you should get this update soon with the latest security improvements and the helpful Gemini AI feature.
