Samsung’s Tri-Fold phone to share Z Fold 7 style with advanced battery

Samsung Tri-Fold

Samsung is preparing to unveil its first tri-fold smartphone in 2025, designed to echo the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s look and feel. A recent leak suggests the tri-fold will use the same hinge, speaker setup, and cutout design as the Z Fold 7 to keep production costs low while delivering a polished appearance. When fully unfolded, its 9.9-inch to 10-inch display offers a tablet-like experience, perfect for multitasking or media.

The tri-fold will feature a silicon-carbon battery, which allows for a thinner device without compromising power. This battery tech, seen in devices from brands like Vivo and OnePlus, boosts energy efficiency, letting users enjoy longer sessions between charges. However, it’s likely to maintain 25W charging, prioritizing battery longevity over rapid charging, in line with Samsung’s foldable lineup.

Slated for release in July 2025 alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, the tri-fold may launch with a limited run of 200,000 units, possibly in markets like South Korea and China first. This careful approach shows Samsung’s commitment to refining the device’s durability and performance.

Equipped with Galaxy AI and a unique dual-hinge system, the tri-fold is poised to make waves in the foldable phone space. By blending a slim design with cutting-edge battery tech, Samsung’s tri-fold could redefine what users expect from foldable devices in 2025.
