Samsung Wallet’s tap-to-share feature makes sending money a breeze

Samsung Wallet is introducing an exciting new way to send money called Tap to Share, set to launch in the U.S. this month. This feature allows users to transfer funds quickly by simply tapping their phone against another device or even a physical debit card. It works seamlessly with Visa and Mastercard debit cards linked to Samsung Wallet, ensuring fast and secure transactions.
What sets this apart is its flexibility—you can send money to other platforms like Google Wallet or Apple Wallet, as long as the recipient has a registered debit card. For face-to-face transfers, open Samsung Wallet, pick your debit card, enter the amount, and tap your phone on the other person’s device. Need to send money from afar? No problem, but both you and the recipient must have Samsung Wallet accounts. Once sent, transfers are final, so be sure to check details carefully.
To use Tap to Share, you’ll need a Galaxy phone with Android Q or newer, an active Samsung Wallet account, and NFC turned on. There are daily and monthly transfer limits, and credit cards aren’t supported. You can track your transfer history in the app, but removing your debit card will clear those records.
With features like digital keys and payment plans already in Samsung Wallet, Tap to Share adds another reason to choose it over competitors like Google Wallet or Apple Wallet. By supporting physical cards and cross-platform transfers, Samsung is making peer-to-peer payments easier than ever.
