One UI 7 for Fold/Flip 4, S21 series and May 2025 for S25 series hits in the US

Samsung has started rolling out its latest software, One UI 7, based on Android 15, to several Galaxy devices in the United States. This update brings a fresh look and exciting features to improve the user experience. Among the devices getting this upgrade are the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy S21 series.
For the Galaxy S25, the update enhances the phone’s performance with smoother animations and new tools like real-time call transcripts and a writing assistant powered by Galaxy AI. It also includes the April 2025 security patch to keep devices safe. Users can expect a more polished interface with updated app icons and better customization options.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 are also joining the update wave. This brings foldable phones a modern design and improved functionality, making multitasking and app usage more seamless. The update, which started in South Korea, is now available through Verizon in the US, with other carriers expected to follow soon.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S21 series, including the S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra, is receiving the same One UI 7 update. This makes these older flagship phones feel new again with a sleek interface and enhanced security. Verizon users are among the first to get it, and the rollout will expand to other regions and carriers in May 2025. To check for the update, go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. Samsung’s steady rollout ensures more Galaxy users can enjoy these improvements soon.
