Samsung may delay big Galaxy S25 update and S26 might skip Samsung’s 2nm chip

Samsung is reportedly making some major changes in its future Galaxy S phones. According to recent news, the Galaxy S26 may not use Samsung’s upcoming 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip. This chip, which is expected to be built by Samsung Foundry, might not be ready in time for the Galaxy S26 launch. Instead, Qualcomm could choose TSMC to make the chip, just like it did with previous versions.

Even though Samsung Foundry plans to start making 2nm chips in 2025, Qualcomm is being careful. They want to make sure there are no performance or heating problems like in the past. If Samsung’s chip isn’t ready or tested enough, the company may stick with TSMC for better reliability.

At the same time, there’s talk about Samsung postponing a major software update planned for the Galaxy S25. This update was expected to bring big improvements, but it might now be pushed to the Galaxy S26 series instead. While Samsung is still testing new features, they may delay releasing them until the next model.

These changes show that Samsung is being cautious and wants to deliver reliable hardware and software experiences. But it also means fans may need to wait longer for the latest upgrades.
