Galaxy devices getting April 2025 update and One UI 7 Global rollout for some devices begin next week

Samsung has started rolling out the April 2025 security update for several Galaxy phones in the US. The update is now live for the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy A53 5G, and Galaxy A23 LTE models. It improves device security and stability and fixes over 30 security issues. Carrier-locked and unlocked versions are getting the update, and users can check for it manually by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
Alongside security updates, Samsung is also preparing for a big software release. The global rollout of One UI 7 is expected to begin next week. Devices like the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and the Galaxy Tab S10 series will be the first to receive it.
One UI 7 will bring many improvements and new features to Galaxy devices, based on the Android 15 update. Samsung is likely to complete the One UI 7 rollout for these flagship models in early May 2025, before expanding it to more smartphones and tablets later on.
If you own one of these devices, keep an eye out for the new update notifications!
