Samsung begins One UI 7 stable update for Galaxy S24 users in India

Samsung has finally brought the Android 15 update, called One UI 7, to Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra users in India. This big software upgrade started rolling out on April 22, 2025, after its first release in South Korea on April 7. Indian users, who’ve been eagerly waiting, can now enjoy a fresh look and smarter features.
The update, known as One UI 7 (BYD9), first reaches those who tested the beta version. Soon, all S24 users in India will get it. It comes with a new design, making the phone feel smoother and easier to use. You’ll notice updated icons, better animations, and a handy Now Bar on the lock screen that shows quick info like music or workout updates.
Galaxy AI gets a boost too, with improved photo editing and video trimming tools. The update also includes the April 2025 security patch to keep your phone safe. To get it, go to Settings, tap Software Update, and select Download and Install. It’s a large file, about 5.5GB, so use Wi-Fi for a smooth download.
Samsung paused the rollout earlier due to a bug but fixed it quickly. Now, India joins countries like the US and Europe in getting this exciting update. Older models, like the Galaxy S23, are expected to follow in May 2025. Keep an eye on your notifications for the update alert!
