Samsung restarts One UI 7 (BYD9) update for Galaxy S24 phones

One UI 7

Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 7 (BYD9) update again for Galaxy S24 series devices. This update was paused earlier, but it’s now back and being released in stages. Users in Korea are the first to receive it.

This update comes with April 2025 security patches and also improves the phone’s overall performance and stability. Samsung had stopped the update rollout for a short time, likely to fix some issues. Now that it’s resumed, it means the problems have been sorted out.

The One UI 7 (BYD9) update is being released in waves, which means not everyone will get it right away. If you haven’t received it yet, don’t worry—it should be available soon. You can check for the update manually by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install on your device.

The Galaxy S24 series includes the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra. All three models are getting this update. As with most software updates, it’s a good idea to install it over Wi-Fi and back up your data before updating, just in case.

Samsung users can now look forward to a smoother and more secure experience on their Galaxy S24 smartphones with this new software version.
