Samsung introduces Galaxy M56 5G and reveals software update details for A26

Samsung has just launched a new phone, the Galaxy M56 5G, in India. This phone joins the Galaxy M series lineup and brings some impressive features. It runs on Android 14 with One UI 6.1 out of the box, offering a smooth and user-friendly experience. Samsung promises four years of major Android updates and five years of security patches for this device.
The Galaxy M56 5G was recently listed on the BIS certification website, confirming its arrival. While full details about its design and hardware are still under wraps, it’s expected to be similar to the Galaxy A55 in terms of specifications. This makes it a strong choice for those looking for a mid-range phone with long-term software support.
In other news, Samsung’s Galaxy A26 has been confirmed to lack the “seamless update” feature. Unlike the Galaxy A36 and A56, which support this feature, the A26 does not. Seamless updates allow the phone to install software updates in the background, reducing wait times and improving user convenience. Since Android 14, Google has made this a more common feature, and many Galaxy phones now include it.
However, the Galaxy A26 missing out on it is a bit disappointing, especially when other models in the same series have it. Still, Samsung continues to roll out improvements with each new release, making its phones more reliable and user-friendly.
