Samsung admits Galaxy S25 and One UI 7 have a lock screen glitch, offers a fix

Samsung recently shared that its new Galaxy S25 and the One UI 7 update have a small problem. Some users can’t get past the lock screen because of a bug. This glitch stops the phone from unlocking properly, which can be annoying. The company has owned up to the issue and promised to fix it soon with an update.
For now, Samsung gave a simple trick to get around the problem. If your phone gets stuck on the lock screen, just restart it. To do this, press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the device shuts off and turns back on. Once it restarts, the lock screen should work fine again. This isn’t a permanent solution, but it helps until the update arrives.
The bug seems to happen because of a mix-up in the software that runs the lock screen. Samsung didn’t say exactly when the fix will come, but they’re working on it. Users who faced this issue said restarting the phone worked for them, so it’s worth trying if you’re stuck.
Samsung also told users to keep an eye out for new updates. You can check for them by going to Settings, then Software Update, and tapping “Download and Install” if something’s available. This way, you’ll get the official fix as soon as it’s ready.
Even with this hiccup, the Galaxy S25 and One UI 7 bring cool new features. The company wants to make sure everyone enjoys them without trouble. If you’re having this lock screen issue, try the restart trick and wait for Samsung’s update to solve it for good.
@SamsungMobile @SamsungSG I am unable to unlock my Galaxy S25 Ultra after March security update. After entering the password, I am unable to see enter key in keyboard. Due to this unable to shutdown and enter safe mode nor switch it off. 😒 pic.twitter.com/waHeVp6BS8
