Samsung announces new One UI 7 launch date for US Galaxy fans

Samsung Electronics America has set April 10 as the launch date for the One UI 7 software update for Galaxy users in the US. This is a bit different from the date shared earlier for Galaxy owners worldwide. In a statement, Samsung said, “The update kicks off in the US with the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Z Flip6 on April 10.” After that, it’ll reach more devices in the weeks that follow. For global users, the rollout starts a few days earlier, on April 7, for certain models.
Samsung has been trying out the One UI 7 beta in the US for the last three months. This gave users a sneak peek at cool features like the Now bar, which shows live alerts on the lock screen in a fun, fresh way. The update also splits notifications and quick settings for easier use and adds smoother animations compared to One UI 6. Plus, the home screen gets a makeover with new icons and improved widgets.
Customization gets a boost too, with fresh choices for the clock, lock screen, and home screen settings. On top of that, flagship phones will enjoy AI tricks like Drawing Assist, which turns rough sketches into neat artwork, and Audio Eraser, which cleans up unwanted noise in videos. There’s plenty more to discover in this update!
So far, One UI 7 beta was only available for the Galaxy S24 series, but it later opened up to Fold6, Flip6, Galaxy S23, and Tab S10 users. The separate US launch might be because Samsung is working with local carriers to roll it out smoothly across all supported devices. To grab the update, head to Settings > Software Update on your phone and follow the steps on the screen. For the latest scoop on One UI 7, keep an eye on our dedicated section!
