Galaxy Z Fold 3 receives March 2025 security patch before One UI 7

Samsung shared exciting news today about the upcoming Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update, revealing when it will reach users. Among the devices set to receive it is the Galaxy Z Fold 3. But before that big upgrade arrives, Samsung has already begun sending out the March 2025 security update to this foldable phone.

This new security patch tackles several safety concerns, keeping your device protected. You can find more details about what it fixes here. Right now, Samsung is delivering this update to the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s international version (model SM-F926B) and both the carrier-locked (SM-F926U) and unlocked (SM-F926U1) versions in the United States.

The update comes with different firmware codes depending on your device: F926BXXSBIYB3 for the international model, F926USQSAJYB3 for the U.S. carrier-locked version, and F926U1UESAJYB3 for the U.S. unlocked version. To install it, head to Settings, tap Software update, and choose Download and install. If you prefer, you can also grab it from our firmware page.

Looking ahead, Samsung plans to launch One UI 7.0 starting April 7, 2025. The rollout will begin with premium and newer devices before moving to older and budget-friendly ones.
