Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra set to outshine S24 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is gearing up to be a bigger hit than the S24 Ultra. A Samsung insider recently shared that the company has high hopes for this new phone, expecting it to sell even better than last year’s model. According to TheElec, Samsung’s orders for parts and their sales predictions for the Galaxy S25 lineup haven’t changed much. Still, they believe the S25 Ultra will see a small boost in yearly sales compared to the S24 Ultra.
It’s been a month since the Galaxy S25 series launched globally. So far, it’s following a pattern similar to the S24 series, with no big surprises in the first month. Reports say Samsung first planned to make 1.4 million S25 Ultra units in January, bumped it up to 1.7 million in early February, but later dropped it back to 1.4 million.
How well the phone sells in March and April will likely decide its overall success. Last year, Samsung shipped 35 million Galaxy S24 units. For 2025, they’re aiming for 37.7 million S25 units, with 13.6 million for the base model, 6.7 million for the Plus, and 17.4 million for the Ultra.
Galaxy S25 Ultra Highlights
This year’s Ultra model comes with a fresh look. Samsung moved away from the sharp, boxy style of the Note series, giving it softer, rounded corners. Don’t worry—the S Pen and large-screen design are still there. The phone also packs some cool upgrades: a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, better cooling with a larger vapor chamber, and tougher Gorilla Armor 2nd-generation glass.
These features help the S25 Ultra shine against other phones. While it’s not a huge leap from the S24 Ultra, it’s a solid step up for anyone using a Galaxy S23 Ultra or S22 Ultra. Even Note 20 Ultra fans might want to switch for a smoother, more exciting experience.
