Samsung brings One UI 7 with new Galaxy A-Series phones

Galaxy A Series

Samsung has been slow to roll out its One UI 7 update, but the good news is here! The company is launching three new phones—the Galaxy A26, A36, and A56—that come with One UI 7 already installed. These devices give you an affordable way to try the update without splurging on the expensive Galaxy S25 series.

Starting March 26, these new Galaxy A-series phones will hit the US market. They all feature a big 6.7-inch FHD+ screen with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a strong 5,000 mAh battery. That’s where the similarities end, though—each phone has its camera setup.

The Galaxy A56 leads with a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro lens. The Galaxy A36 offers a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A26 has a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro. For selfies, the A56 and A36 both have 12MP front cameras, while the A26 steps up to 13MP.

Details about the processors are still hush-hush from Samsung, but rumors suggest the Galaxy A56 uses an Exynos 1580, the A36 runs on a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, and the A26 has an Exynos 1380. The A56 comes with 8GB of RAM, while the other two get 6GB. All three phones offer 128GB of storage.

Running on Android 15, these devices bring One UI 7 and promise six years of software and security updates. That’s a big deal since Samsung hasn’t said when older phones will get the update. Size-wise, the A56 is 162.2 x 77.5 x 7.4mm, the A36 is 162.9 x 78.2 x 7.4mm, and the A26 is 164.0 x 77.5 x 7.7mm. They’re all IP67-rated for dust and water resistance.

Pricing looks like this: the Galaxy A26 costs $299 and launches March 28, the A36 is $399 and arrives March 26, and the A56 is $499, coming later in 2025. Samsung hasn’t shown off the A56’s design yet, so stay tuned!
