Samsung phones might get a simpler Circle to Search design

Google is bringing a fresh update to its Circle to Search tool, and it could make things better for Samsung phone users who rely on Google Search. In the newest test version of the Google App, numbered 16.6, the company swapped out the old solid navigation bar for a see-through one. This tweak gives the search page a sleek, updated feel that’s easier on the eyes.

In the past, the navigation bar stayed solid no matter how you viewed the page—whether in a small pop-up or full-screen mode. Now, with the clear bar, everything looks neater, especially for folks who stick with the classic 3-button setup on their Android phones.

This change shines even more on Android 16, where it pairs up with a smart “predictive back” feature for 3-button users, as spotted by 9to5Google. If you prefer swiping with Gesture navigation, the difference isn’t as big, but the page still feels smoother and more stylish.

On top of that, Google added a handy little bar that floats at the bottom of the screen when you switch to full-screen results. It asks, “Are these results helpful?” You can tap “Yes,” “No,” or “Close” to let Google know what you think. This idea comes from Google Lens, making it super simple to rate your search.

So far, this update has popped up on Pixel phones, but Samsung fans are still waiting. Since tons of people use Samsung devices, it’s likely this upgrade will roll out to them soon, giving their Google Search a nice boost.
