8 problems in One UI 7 Beta 4 hint at a possible Beta 5

Samsung fans have spotted several issues after installing One UI 7 Beta 4. The company has asked users for more details through its community team. Could this mean a One UI 7 Beta 5 is on the way? The fourth beta came out 45 days after Beta 3, launching on February 18, 2025. Meanwhile, Samsung stayed quiet about the Beta Program and focused on releasing the Galaxy S25 series on January 22.
Here are eight problems Galaxy S24 beta testers have shared:
- Strange Glitch with Big Folder Widgets: A user found a visual issue with large folder widgets on the home screen. A Samsung helper said sorry and asked them to report it through the Samsung Members app if it keeps happening.
- Media Page Slow to Open with DIY Home: Someone said the Media page takes 2 to 4 swipes to show up when using DIY Home, instead of the usual one swipe.
- Power Button Stuck on Bixby: A tester can’t switch their power button to open Gemini—it only triggers Bixby.
- Old Power Button Issue Still Here: The same problem existed in Beta 3, with users unable to set Gemini on the power button.
- Battery Stats Confused by Background Apps: One person keeps the Sonos app running for quick access, but the battery use gets mixed into “screen on time.” They said the Good Guardians Battery Tracker works better but still shows high numbers.
- Work Profile Faces 24-Hour Block Warning: Two users with Work Profiles on their S24 got a notice saying it might lock in 24 hours. They think it’s linked to missing security updates or Play Store issues.
- Google Wallet Payment Trouble: Some can’t use Google Wallet for tap-to-pay, getting an error about security standards not being met.
- Bixby Silent on Lock Screen: A user hears Bixby’s chime when called on the lock screen, but it won’t answer commands.
These complaints popped up in the Beta Program section recently. Problems range from display glitches and battery mix-ups to security and feature hiccups. With so many reports, Samsung might roll out Beta 5 to fix these before the final One UI 7 launch. No official word on Beta 5 yet, though!
