New security updates for Samsung Galaxy A13 in 2025

Samsung is now updating two of its popular 2023 models, the Galaxy A13 and Galaxy A13 5G, with the latest security patch for February 2025. This update helps protect your phone from various security threats.
These phones receive security updates every three months, so this February update is the first of four expected this year. Right now, if you have a carrier-locked Galaxy A13 in the U.S. or the European version of the Galaxy A13 5G, you can get this update. The update for the U.S. version is named A135USQSBEYA1, and for the European 5G model, it’s A136BXXSADYB1.
Samsung devices automatically look for updates from time to time, but it might take a little while before your phone finds this new patch. If you want to check for updates sooner, go to your phone’s Settings, select ‘Software update’, and then choose ‘Download and install’.
Alternatively, if you prefer, you can download the update file from a reliable source online and use a program called Odin on a Windows computer to install it manually. It’s worth mentioning that while these models are getting security updates, they won’t be upgraded to Samsung’s latest One UI 7.0 based on Android 15. Newer Samsung phones in the same price range can now get up to four major OS updates, but not these older models. Keep your phone safe and up-to-date with these regular security patches.
