Samsung’s new software update for Laptops

Samsung has rolled out a new software update for its Galaxy Book laptops, bringing features from its latest One UI 7.0 phone system. This update makes it easier for your laptop to connect and work with Samsung phones and tablets.
Samsung’s Laptop Settings App Gets a Makeover
Owners of Galaxy Book laptops can now download an updated version of the Samsung Settings app from the Microsoft Store. This update includes the One UI 7.0 features specifically tailored for laptops, along with an upgrade to the Samsung System Support app, which you can update through the Device Care app.
New Apps to Enhance Connectivity
With this update, a new app called “Nearby Devices” becomes available for download from the Microsoft Store. It’s akin to the feature on the Galaxy S25, allowing your Galaxy Book to show up on your phone and vice versa, making it simple to manage both devices with features like Multi Control. Another app introduced is “Storage Share”, which lets you browse and manage files from your Samsung phone directly on your Windows laptop, similar to the functionality of the Link to Windows app.
Camera Share for Better Webcam Experience
Lastly, there’s a new tool named “Camera Share” for Galaxy Book users. This app lets your laptop use your Samsung phone’s camera as a high-quality webcam, enhancing your video calls and recordings. This update ensures that your Samsung devices work together more seamlessly, offering a more integrated experience across your tech ecosystem.
