Samsung delays One UI update for better Galaxy S24 experience

People who own the Galaxy S24 are waiting for the new Android 15 update. Samsung wants to make sure their software is just right, which means they’re taking their time. They’ve decided to delay the release of the final version of One UI 7 to make the Galaxy S24 experience perfect.
After lots of talk about the One UI 7 Beta 4, Samsung has confirmed that this next Beta version might come out next week for Galaxy S24 users in seven countries where they’re testing it. It’s been more than a month since the last Beta update, Beta 3. Fans were hoping for the official version soon after the new Galaxy S25 phones go on sale, but Samsung has other plans.
A community moderator for Samsung explained that they’re working hard to make the One UI 7 experience great for Galaxy S24 owners. This is why they haven’t shared when the update will be fully available yet. The Beta testing started in early December last year, and two months into the program, it doesn’t look like the official update will come in February 2025.
Samsung thinks it’s important to test thoroughly to fix any issues, listen to user feedback, and make sure everything works smoothly when they release the final version. They’re currently working on another Beta update that will correct a big problem with how colors look on the screen.
Samsung isn’t trying to push people to buy the new Galaxy phones. Even though the new models have cool new stuff, Samsung also wants to keep older phones running well for a long time.
Here’s what the Samsung US Community moderator said:
“We’re focusing on making sure the S24 series has the best experience with the stable One UI 7 release.”
Thorough testing helps improve the software, fix problems, and make sure moving to the final version goes smoothly for everyone. While there’s always talk about when to release updates and how it might affect sales, Samsung’s main aim is to make sure existing phones last longer and perform better, even as they introduce new ones.
