Samsung Galaxy S24 series receives February 2025 security update

Samsung has released a new security update for its Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra models. This update includes the February 2025 security patch aimed at improving the security of your phone. It’s currently available in Korea, with plans to expand to more regions soon. While Galaxy S24 users are eagerly awaiting the stable One UI 7 update, which was launched with the Galaxy S25 series in January 2025, they are now receiving an update based on One UI 6.1.
Here are the build versions for the update:
- Galaxy S24: S921NKSS4AYA1
- Galaxy S24 Plus: S926NKSS4AYA1
- Galaxy S24 Ultra: S928NKSS4AYA1
The Galaxy S24 series is the first to get this February security patch, with Samsung promising more devices will follow. Since it’s an initial rollout, it might take a bit of time for everyone to receive it. To check for the update, go to Settings, then Software Update, and select Download and install. The update file is approximately 300MB.
This security patch addresses one critical vulnerability and 34 high-level CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) for the Android system. Notably, two of these CVEs do not apply to Galaxy devices. Additionally, Samsung has patched seven SVEs (Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures) specifically related to the Samsung Find app, settings components, and other areas.
This update ensures your Samsung Galaxy S24 series remains secure and up-to-date, providing peace of mind with ongoing improvements to device safety.
