Samsung Galaxy S25 beats S24 in pre-order sales

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy S25 has surpassed the sales record of the S24 model during pre-orders. From January 24 to February 3, Samsung saw an impressive 1.3 million preorders for the new S25 family, according to a report by JoongAng Daily. This number not only broke the previous record set by the S24 in South Korea but also showed strong sales figures internationally.

The Galaxy S24 had 1.2 million preorders in the same period last year, which means this year’s model has done even better. Both models, S24 and S25, had their pre-order windows open for 11 days, providing a fair comparison.

The Ultra Model is a Big Hit

The excitement for the S25 Ultra is unmistakable. It alone made up more than half of all preorders, with 52% of the total. Meanwhile, the regular S25 and S25 Plus models accounted for 26% and 22% of the preorders, respectively. This year, the Plus version is also selling better than in previous years.

A new trend in South Korea is the use of the Galaxy AI Subscription Club for buying these phones. About 30% of consumers chose this payment method, showing a growing interest in subscription models. This service is now also available in the U.S., offering an early upgrade option for subscribers.

Better AI and Steady Prices

Samsung has enhanced its AI capabilities with the S25 series, making the phones smarter with less need for cloud computing. The Snapdragon 8 Elite chip helps in running AI features smoothly. Moreover, Samsung decided to keep the prices the same as last year’s models, despite the hardware upgrades and higher costs due to currency fluctuations. This pricing strategy has helped in boosting sales.

In summary, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, especially the Ultra model, has captured significant attention, proving that both innovation in AI and smart pricing strategies can drive consumer interest and sales.
