Google Maps now works with One UI 7 Now Bar – Update Today!

Samsung Now Bar

One UI 7‘s Now Bar has become even more useful with the addition of Google Maps. Samsung is ready to roll out the One UI 7 update to everyone, and one of its coolest features now includes live updates from Google Maps.

Google Maps is a popular app used all over the world, available in over 220 countries. It provides real-time directions, traffic updates, and street views for millions of businesses and landmarks.

With the new Galaxy S25 phones, Samsung has added Google Maps live updates to the Now Bar. This feature was first tested in the One UI 7 Beta on the Galaxy S24 series, and it seems Google Maps live updates are now officially part of Samsung’s version of iPhone’s Live Activities.

To get this feature, update your Google Maps to version 25.05.01.719889437. As shared by @theonecid, this update enhances the Now Bar, allowing it to show live navigation on your phone’s lock screen.

Now, you don’t need to unlock your phone to check your route. The Now Bar will display live updates right on your lock screen, making navigation simpler and more convenient.

Both Google and Samsung often roll out new features slowly. If you don’t see the feature right away after updating, try closing the app, clearing its cache, and restarting your phone. This might help activate the new feature.

The upcoming stable version of One UI 7 will also introduce the Now Brief feature. This was first seen on the Galaxy S25, where AI and smart technology offer personalized suggestions to make your daily tasks easier. Stay tuned for more updates as Samsung continues to enhance its user experience with One UI 7.
