What is Auto OTP deletion feature on Samsung phones? How to access it

Posted on

Samsung Galaxy phones install several features that aim to shield your data in a better manner, and one such is the Auto-OTP deletion feature. As the term suggests, users can set their handset to automatically delete the OTP (One Time Password) arriving on the Google Messages app.

It is worth mentioning that the feature will only work with those models that are released after 2021 and pre-installed with Google Messages. If you don’t have the app, you can download it via the Play Store and set it as your default messaging app.

How to access the Auto OTP deletion feature on Samsung phones?

  • Open the Google Messages on your Galaxy handset
  • Tap on the Profile Picture
  • Select the Message Settings option
  • Click on the Messages organization section
  • Turn on the toggle for “Auto-delete OPTs after 24 hours”
