What is Google Assistant Quick Phrases feature? How it works on Pixel Buds Pro

Posted on

Google Assistant has a Quick Phrases feature which is now available for Pixel Buds Pro. The capability enables you to opt for voice actions for certain tasks such as setting alarms or timers and answering or declining calls. Notably, you can complete these operations without using the dialect “Hey Google” beforehand.

So far, this tool is present in Pixel handsets as well as tablets. Although Google has recently updated the Assistant settings page and mentioned a few commands that support Pixel Buds Pro as well.

How does the Google Assistant Quick Phrases feature work with Pixel Buds Pro?

Initially, you need to enable the Quick Phrases function in the Google Home app. Make sure that you are running the latest version.

  • Open the Google Home app
  • Tap on your account
  • Scroll down and go to Assistant Settings
  • Click on Quick Phrases
  • Select Other Devices and tap Add + next to the phrases you want to use

Another significant point is that keep your earbuds connected and near to your phone. Currently, you can only answer or decline a phone call using the Pixel Buds Pro. Though we may expect more additions in the time ahead.
