It’s an amazing day for iPhone users as Apple is now releasing the Rapid Security Response update for the first time. Eventually, device owners running iOS 16.4.1 operating system can install new firmware that solely aims to improve the security aspects of the handsets.
Last year, the American tech giant revealed a new term named ‘Rapid Security Response’ during the WWDC event. As the name reflects, this capability enables swift and more frequent security patches for Apple’s latest operating systems.
That’s not it. The invention further mends flaws related to WebKit for various applications of the devices, specifically those that affect Safari and other in-built apps. For a long while, the manufacturer was busy with the beta testing of these new creations. Finally, Apple has issued the Rapid Security Response for iOS consumers.
Speaking of which, the first rollout carries a software package of 85.7 MB. Before installing make sure that you have sufficient room in your device to store the new firmware. Also, use a stable internet connection to conduct the installation.
In comparison to other upgrades, the new iOS 16.4.1 (a) build is quite small in size. Besides, it usually doesn’t demands reboots, except in some cases. After the release, a few customers said that the update failed to install. However, the company immediately responded and fixed the respective bug.
