The Nikon Nikkor Z 17-28mm f/2.8 constant aperture wide-angle zoom lens was released today priced at$1183 and will go on sale on October 27.

According to the report, the NIKKOR Z 17-28mm f/2.8 is a wide-angle zoom lens compatible with Nikon Z Mount System full-frame/FX format mirrorless digital cameras, measuring about 101mm in overall length and weighing around 450g.

The NIKKOR Z 17-28mm f/2.8 has 2 built-in low dispersion (ED) lenses, 1 enhanced ED lens, and 3 aspherical lenses, all equipped with high-speed autofocus control, a stepping motor (STM), and a control loop.

Nikon says the lens makes use of the unique angle of view offered by wide-angle lenses, as well as a faster maximum aperture of f/2.8 and a closer focusing distance of about 0.19m (at the 17mm zoom position) to handle uses. Capturing a wide variety of shooting scenarios and subjects, enabling a wide range of dynamic expressions.
