Now, according to blogger @TheGalox_, the older Samsung Galaxy Z Fold will get an upgrade to One UI 4.1.1 “later this year” to get a new taskbar. It is still uncertain how much of the user experience of Samsung Z Fold4 One UI 4.1.1 is related to the new Android 12L, but from the hands-on experience, at least some Google native applications can get good results in split-screen mode use experience.

Android 12 L is an operating system launched by Google last year, dedicated to foldable devices, tablets, and Chrome OS devices, with certain optimizations in operational logic. Moreover, Android 12L brings a number of new features, improves the experience of multitasking on large-screen devices, and supports new swipe gestures, and Samsung also announced at the Galaxy Z Fold 4 conference that it will join forces with Google and Microsoft to bring enhanced software experiences to devices.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is equipped with a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, supplemented by 12GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage, a built-in 4400mAh battery, and supports 25W fast charging + 15W wireless charging. It is also equipped with a 6.2-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X external screen, which supports a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and 402ppi.
