Linux Ubuntu Kylin mobile operating environment KMRE update added screen switching function

According to the latest report, the application ecology under the Linux desktop operating system has always been a serious problem. The launch of the Kylin Mobile Runtime Environment (KMRE) has made Ubuntu Kylin’s application ecology no longer limited to the desktop side. Directly install and run Android  APK locally.

According to the Ubuntu Kylin team, KMRE is not a virtual machine, but a real “combination” of the Linux operating system and the Android operating system. In addition, the KMRE architecture directly uses the hardware by sharing the core and supports ARM and x86 devices and various CPUs and GPUs at the same time.

1. Added horizontal and vertical screen switching function

In the latest version of KMRE, when you use the Android application, you can click on the “horizontal/vertical screen switch” in the upper right corner. At this time, some applications that support switching can freely switch between horizontal and vertical screens, such as WPS, Evernote, etc.

2. Support gamepad

In this updated version, you can click, combo, left and right joysticks, and other settings by connecting the controller, and you can play your favorite popular mobile games.

3. The developer mode can be turned on, and the joint debugging mode with Android Studio can be supported

In “Menu-Settings-General Settings”, after clicking “Current Version” multiple times, “Developer Mode” will be displayed on the left side of the settings page. Click to enter to enable developer mode.

4. Support preset mobile phone models

Open the KMRE property settings, you can preset the phone model here, or you can customize your favorite phone brand and model.

5. Support mouse sensitivity setting

When swiping with the mouse wheel in an Android app, do you feel that the swiping speed does not match your usage habits? In order to optimize the user experience, KMRE has added a mouse wheel sensitivity setting, and the sliding speed can be set according to their respective usage habits.

It should be noted that the current settings only take effect for the current application, so you can experience different scrolling speeds when using different Android applications.

6. Support virtual positioning

Turn on virtual positioning, you can locate the current position or the searched position.

7. Parallel interface adaptation optimization

After the parallel interface is enabled, click contact on the WeChat address book page, and the chat interface with the contact will be displayed side by side on the right side.

8. Camera display optimization

Have you ever used a camera when using Tencent Conference? The new version optimizes the width of the frame displayed on the horizontal screen of the Tencent conference and optimizes the solution to the green screen phenomenon when the Toutiao app is recording and the blurry screen phenomenon when using the native camera so that everyone no longer has to worry about video.

In addition to the above updates and upgrades, the new version is also adapted to the Intel 11th generation CPU core display.
