BMW’s Regensburg plant will stop production this week 

According to the German media Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation as saying that a BMW spokesman said that due to a shortage of components such as chips, BMW’s Regensburg plant will stop production this week.

It is understood that the plant, which makes BMW 1 Series, 3 Series sedans, and electric vehicles, has reported supply problems with chips and wires from Ukraine.

Looking back on 2021, under the global shortage of automotive chips, the BMW Group sold 2,521,514 vehicles globally 2021, a year-on-year increase of 8.4%, and the total revenue in 2021 was 111.239 billion euros, of which the net profit was 12.463 billion euros, a year-on-year increase the growth reached 223.1%, setting a new record.
