Ford E-Transit electric van receives 750 orders

According to the latest report, Penske Motor Transport Group’s truck rental company said it had ordered 750 electric E-Transit vans from Ford Motor Co. Several companies, including FedEx Corp, UPS, and others, are currently testing electric freight vehicles as part of a plan for zero-emission vehicles.

Moreover, Penske expects to deliver the first vehicles in the next few weeks, and the company said the first E-Transit vehicles will be the first to enter service in Southern California, with the rest of the U.S. gradually entering service later this year.

Furthermore, Penske revealed that the company’s long-term plans include adding more E-Transit vans to its wider rental network in North America. It is reported that Ford’s E-Transit models are available in eight configurations and have an electric range of 126 miles.
