Flexible OLED panels show trend of rapid growth in production and demand: TCL

Posted on

Recently, Zhao Jun, COO of TCL Huaxing, talked about the market situation of large, medium, and small size LCD panels this year in an interview. Zhao Jun said that at present, the current market of the entire display panel is still relatively complicated, and the complexity lies in the variability, uncertainty, and large differences in different fields.

Judging from the current situation, the large-size panels represented by TV panels can initially see signs of a narrowing of the entire decline and gradual stabilization, but specific judgments must be made according to the changes in both supply and demand.

In terms of medium size, the demand for medium-sized terminals represented by tablets, laptops, and monitors has been stimulated by the home office and home economy caused by the epidemic and has maintained rapid growth for two years.

So far, we can see the growth momentum has been pulled back, and at the same time, we also see some structural opportunities, including some high-end differentiated demand for e-sports monitors, high-end notebooks, etc., which continue to grow

In addition, one of the areas where TCL Huaxing is growing faster is in high-end vehicles. In the future, this market is expected to show a rapid growth trend. So on the whole, the medium-sized field is facing a certain pressure of correction in the short term.

But the overall medium and long-term demand are still relatively high and stable, and then in high-end laptops, gaming monitors, and high-end vehicles, it is expected to still exist with relatively large structural growth opportunities.

In terms of small size, it seems that the overall supply and demand and prices are relatively stable at present, and flexible OLED panels show a trend of rapid growth in production capacity and demand.

Zhao Jun pointed out that TCL Huaxing has been making active preparations in terms of technology and production capacity. In terms of customers, the top customers in the entire front line have made positive progress.
